Add a little spice to your life!

nwafoodie salt cellar Anthropologie

So I decided to introduce a little oh-la-la to my kitchen. Something that could add a little cha-cha-cha to something so plain and well… ordinary.

I bought a salt cellar.

Not a traditional salt cellar. My salt cellar of choice is a cute little ceramic container I bought at Anthropologie for $5 (digit spice jar #7). With a little cork on it to keep out the unsavory smells. See, adding a little something to wake up the ordinary doesn’t have to cost much.

My husband and I are having a blast with that cute little salt cellar. We’re not just making scrambled eggs with salt added. Now we are making scrambled eggs with a pinch of kosher sea salt tossed ever-so nonchalantly with a slight twist of our wrist!

I highly recommend you make your own salt cellar. Go traditional or be resourceful like I was because it really makes a difference in the kitchen.

Let me know how it works out and how much fun it is!

“Just like becoming an expert in wine–you learn by drinking it, the best you can afford–you learn about great food by finding the best there is, whether simply or luxurious. Then you savor it, analyze it, and discuss it with your companions, and you compare it with other experiences.” – Julia Child
