It’s been some time since I’ve done a Five Foodie Finds on Friday, which is crazy since they are so much fun! I created a whole category for Foodie Finds if you want to go back and browse through all the older ones.
Brandless.com was on my radar for quite some time yet I hadn’t ever taken the step to try them out. Until I was visiting my SIL Julie in Oklahoma and she pulled out a Brandless Organic Honey form her cupboard. I loved it so much that she gave it to me! Thankfully it didn’t put her back too much because it was only three dollars!
Usually my Five Foodie Finds for Friday comes from a multitude of sources and only occasionally do I highlight all five items from the source. Today, I’ve made an exception.
“Live well. Take Care. Do Good.” These three little succinct sayings are the tagline of this online company and immediately you will notice that their products are minimal in appearance and boasts good quality – and simple – ingredients. I like that very much. Secondly, there is something beautiful about their simple packaging. Ironically, being “brandless” is their brand. So, if you’re into simple ingredients, simple packaging, and could care less about having a “name brand,” check them out.
To aid you in your discovery, here are five products from their online store that I think you might be interested in stocking your pantry. At the very least, you’ll have a head start when making a creamy hummus from scratch.
- Tahini – organic, gluten-free, vegan, and made in Israel. 10.6 oz. $3
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil – organic, non-GMO, 100% extra virgin. 6 oz. $4
- Agave Nectar – organic, gluten-free, vegan, 11.75 oz. $3
- Sunflower Oil – organic, 100% pure, cold pressed, Italian. 17 oz. $3
- Disposable Flatware – 100% compostable, made from plants. 24ct. $3
Do you only buy brand name products or are you a mixture of yes and no? Why? What motivates you?
Eat well, my friends.
